To enhance competencies among students and lecturers, the English Language Education Study Program at Unsika launched a series of skill-building activities supported by the 2022 PKKM Grant. Held throughout August 2022, these initiatives focused on advancing learning innovation, English language proficiency, and scientific writing, aligning with the program’s commitment to educational quality.
The activities began on August 8 with a Workshop on Innovative Learning Tools at the FKIP Unsika Hall. Led by experts Hapid Ali, Hanif Nurcholis Adiantika, and Slamet Wahyudi Yulianto, the session equipped 20 students and 10 lecturers with strategies to develop creative and relevant learning resources. The following day, a Learning Tool Preparation Assistance session gathered 30 lecturers to deepen their skills in creating effective educational materials suited to current needs.
On the same day, August 9, the program also held an English Language Skills Workshop, led by faculty members Maya Rahmawati, Hilmansyah Saefullah, and Sidik Indra Nugraha, to enhance the academic and professional English proficiency of 25 students and 5 lecturers. This focus on English competency was complemented by a Scientific Writing Workshop on August 10, where Mobit, Elih Sutisna Yanto, and Putri Kamalia Hakim trained 25 students and 5 lecturers on crafting high-quality scientific papers for both academic and career advancement.
The final event, held on August 18, was a Validation of Learning Tools session led again by Hapid Ali, Hanif Nurcholis Adiantika, and Slamet Wahyudi Yulianto, which brought together 20 students and 10 lecturers to assess and refine the developed resources to meet educational standards of quality and relevance.
Through these PKKM-funded activities, Unsika’s English Language Education Study Program demonstrated its dedication to fostering practical skills and pedagogical innovation. The skills and knowledge gained are expected to elevate the learning experience for both students and faculty, setting a benchmark for similar programs in the future.
